In April 2013, I took on the opportunity of delivering one of BT Groups strategic “big bets” – taking Security to the global market.
I’m a go-to-market lead – my experience and success, both in executive and non-executive roles, is leading sales, business development, portfolio, enablement, partners and alliances – as a start-up or turn-around.
Now 2 years on, we’re in our second year of growth, our global business, spanning four continents, has delivered $500 million in sales – with the aim of doubling performance to $1B by 2017.
It’s a rapidly growing market. Our customers span SME’s, large corporate & government enterprises and countries. And their challenges and requests to us vary – from perimeter protection to outsourcing cyber security operations centres.
Our global organisation is growing daily to meet those customer needs. And part of the enjoyment of the role is creating and maintaining a healthy team – where people are inspired and motivated to be successful for their customers and themselves.
